Using JobMinglr as a Recruiter: A Walkthrough

William Rannefeld·March 11, 2026

JobMinglr gives recruiters a new way to find and engage candidates — powered by match scores and mutual interest signals. Here's a step-by-step look at how it works in practice.

Most recruiters are used to a pull model: post a job, wait for applications, screen the pile. JobMinglr inverts part of that. You still post roles, but instead of waiting passively for applicants, you're actively browsing matched candidates who fit the role — and they're browsing you at the same time.

Here's how the experience actually works from the recruiter side.

Setting Up a Role

When you create a role in JobMinglr, you fill out a structured profile for the position — not just a job description, but specific requirements: skills, experience level, location preferences, and role type. The more specific you are, the better the match scores will be for candidates who see the role.

You can connect the role directly to your Greenhouse or Pinpoint account during setup. Any candidates who match and move forward will be synced into your existing ATS pipeline automatically, so your recruiting workflow doesn't need to change.

Once the role is live, the matching engine starts surfacing relevant candidate profiles in your feed. These are ranked by match score — the percentage compatibility between the candidate's profile and what you've specified for the role.

Browsing and Swiping

The recruiter feed shows candidate profiles with their match score, relevant skills, experience summary, and any signals about what they're looking for. You can review this information before deciding to swipe right and express interest.

Swiping right doesn't send an immediate notification to the candidate — it registers your interest in the system. A connection is made and both sides are notified only when the candidate also swipes right on your role. This mutual-interest model means the conversations that happen are with candidates who are actually interested, not just reachable.

After a Match

When a mutual match occurs, you can message the candidate directly through the platform to start the conversation. Because both sides have already expressed interest, the first message lands very differently than a cold outreach — the context and intent are already shared.

From there, the candidate record syncs to your ATS and the process continues in whatever workflow your team uses. JobMinglr handles the top-of-funnel; your existing system handles everything downstream.
