This is a role with genuine commercial ownership and the autonomy to shape direction across a multi-quarter roadmap.
You thrive when strategy and execution are firmly in your hands — building rigorous business cases, designing clear experimentation agendas, and leading cross-functional teams from insight to shipped product. You'll partner closely with Analytics, Data Science, UX, Research, and Engineering, influencing decisions at the intersection of user experience and commercial performance . trivago is a place where high standards and genuine support go hand in hand — we invest in each other's growth while pursuing ambitious goals.
Ready to turn great user value into sustainable growth? Apply now. How you'll make an impact: Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for retention & monetization areas driving direction with a high level of autonomy and influencing priorities across multiple teams, backed by quantified opportunities (LTV, contribution margin, conversion, repeat behavior).
Build and defend business cases for new initiatives - model trade-offs, pressure-test assumptions with real data, and influence stakeholders on investment priorities and expected returns. Lead structured discovery end-to-end — identify and validate high-impact opportunities, quantify expected impact (uplift ranges, confidence levels, cost of delay), and connect them to a clear KPI framework. Own the full experimentation agenda - hypothesis framing, test design, sequencing, and guardrails - driving fast learning while protecting user trust and making decisions from results.
Lead Analytics, Data Science, UX, Research, and Engineering from insight to shipped product — maintaining clarity on commercial and user outcomes throughout. Act as integrator across Finance, Marketing/CRM, Supply, and Legal where relevant. Mentor less experienced product managers and actively contribute to product management processes and practices across the company.
What you'll need to thrive: 6-12+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of shipping and scaling complex, data-driven initiatives - ideally spanning monetization, growth, pricing, or retention in a consumer product. Strong commercial and analytical rigor - you're comfortable with experimentation results, cohort analysis, and opportunity sizing, and you make principled decisions when metrics trade off against each other. Excellent communication and stakeholder management .
You influence across functions and levels, articulate trade-offs crisply, and drive alignment - including with senior leadership. Technical fluency. You don’t need to code, but you can partner effectively with engineering and data teams and understand system constraints and trade-offs.
High bar for UX. You know monetization works best when value is clear and the experience feels seamless.
