You'll work alongside medical oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, navigators, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, and palliative care specialists who share a common commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care.

What You'Ll Do

As a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner, you will: Provide comprehensive oncology and palliative care services in both clinic and home-based settings. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients throughout the cancer care continuum, from active treatment through survivorship and end-of-life care. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with medical oncologists, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.

Manage treatment-related symptoms, toxicities, and urgent patient needs while supporting quality of life and symptom control. Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and coordinate comprehensive care plans. Guide patients and families through complex decisions involving treatment options, symptom management, goals of care, and advance care planning.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across medical oncology, radiation oncology, nursing, pharmacy, rehabilitation, nutrition, social work, and spiritual care. Contribute to the continued growth and innovation of the Shaw at Home program through quality improvement initiatives, program development, and patient-centered care strategies. Participate in shared after-hours call coverage and interdisciplinary team meetings.

What We'Re Looking For

We're seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner who values teamwork, relationship-building, and delivering exceptional care.

Required Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Board certification as AGNP, FNP, or ACNP Eligibility for and ability to maintain Colorado Nurse Practitioner licensure with prescriptive authority DEA license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Valid driver's license meeting Vail Health DMV criteria Minimum two years of Nurse Practitioner experience Oncology RN or Oncology NP experience required

Preferred Qualifications
