Position Summary The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting and analysis for multiple entities including commercial real-estate, equipment rental, technology, construction, and home service Industries.
This includes developing, implementing, and/or maintaining one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems and processes. This position will prepare and analyze financial reports and journal entries and maintain and reconcile ledger accounts. He or she will also provide records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions and prepare quarterly financial statements for internal and external uses.
This is an on-site position in Columbia, MO.
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Fixed Asset Accounting: Perform tasks related to Fixed Asset accounting for assigned entities Financial Due Diligence: Conduct thorough financial due diligence on target companies, including analyzing financial statements, identifying risks and opportunities, and assessing the impact of the on financials. Accounting Operations Direction: Assists/leads in the planning, directing, and coordinating accounting operational functions and month end close Financial Reporting: Assists with accounting’s operational functions for monthly, quarterly and year end close. Prepare and analyze reports, including consolidated financial statements, to provide insights into the financial performance of assigned entities.

Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to support the company's growth objectives. Reporting: Report regularly on Key Performance Indicators as well as GAAP financials, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Month-End Close and Audit Support: Responsible for meeting deadlines in month-end close procedures and support annual financial statement reviews/audits.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Master Degree or CPA preferred At least 3-5 years experience in finance or accounting role Managerial experience preferred In-depth knowledge of GAAP Strong organization, oral and written communication skills Experience with QuickBooks accounting software preferred
