Position Description Portfolio Company Oversight Support the Underwriting and Portfolio Management teams in monitoring portfolio company performance and preparing materials for board meetings, management discussions, and internal reviews. Review monthly financial statements, quarterly covenant compliance certificates, and annual audited financial statements to identify performance trends, risks, and key business developments. Proactively share key highlights/takeaways with relevant teams.
Analyze operating and financial performance against budget and prior periods, helping identify key drivers of results and opportunities for operational improvement. Assist with value creation initiatives across portfolio companies, including operational benchmarking, KPI reporting, working capital management, forecasting, and performance tracking. Monitor liquidity, cash flow, and borrowing base availability, identifying potential risks and escalating material issues to senior investment professionals.

Contribute to special projects involving portfolio company performance improvement, strategic initiatives, and operational analyses.
Internal Reporting Maintain portfolio company financial, capital structure, and operating data within firm systems, including S&P Global iLEVEL and Wall Street Office (WSO), ensuring accuracy and consistency. Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards and KPI reporting to support investment committee materials, portfolio reviews, and management decision-making. Support quarterly valuation processes by updating financial models, industry outlooks, assumptions, and supporting analyses.
Assist in preparing quarterly and semi-annual portfolio company reviews summarizing financial performance, key risks, industry outlooks, operating trends, and investment updates. Respond to internal and investor information requests by preparing analyses and supporting materials related to portfolio company performance and investments. Portfolio Financing & Investment Support Assist in preparing internal financing and amendment memoranda for review by senior investment professionals.
Build and maintain detailed financial models (3-statement financial models and 13-week cash flow) to forecast operating performance, liquidity, leverage, and returns under various business scenarios. Support investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle, including due diligence, closing processes, ongoing portfolio monitoring, and post-close reporting. Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors, including legal counsel, consultants, lenders, and portfolio company management, to support financing transactions and portfolio management initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with a strong academic record. 1–3 years of relevant experience in private equity, private credit, investment banking, corporate banking, valuation, consulting, accounting, or another finance-related role. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience building or maintaining financial models.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Interest in how AI can be applied to financial, industry, and investment analysis. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
