Role Overview Reporting to the SVP, Technology, Services & Innovation, the Systems Administrator will provide internal IT support across end-user computing, Microsoft 365, identity, applications, endpoints, and technology infrastructure. This role will handle internal IT tickets, support business users, maintain core systems, and contribute to internal IT improvement and automation projects.
This is an intermediate-level role suited for someone with strong hands-on IT support experience, a solid Microsoft 365 foundation, and the ability to troubleshoot both end-user and server-side issues.
Key Responsibilities
: Internal IT Support Provide timely support for employee desktop, laptop, mobile, application, access, printer, VPN, and collaboration issues. Own internal IT tickets from intake to resolution, including documentation, communication, and escalation. Support onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, device setup, and access changes.
Microsoft 365 & Identity Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, licensing, groups, security settings, and user access issues. Support Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, permissions, and identity-related troubleshooting. Assist with M365 configuration, governance, documentation, and service improvements.
Systems & Infrastructure Support Windows and, where applicable, macOS/iOS/Android devices. Support device lifecycle management, including provisioning, configuration, updates, troubleshooting, and retirement. Manage endpoint policies, software deployment, patching, and compliance using endpoint management tools, such as Microsoft Intune and Defender.
Support Windows Server, Active Directory, file services, permissions, backup, monitoring, and virtualized infrastructure. Troubleshoot common server-side issues related to authentication, file access, permissions, performance, services, connectivity, backup status, and business applications, escalating complex issues when required. Support day-to-day security hygiene, including access reviews, endpoint protection alerts, patch compliance, account security, and basic incident triage.
Escalate security risks or suspicious activity according to internal procedures. Projects, Automation & Continuous Improvement Participate in internal IT projects, upgrades, migrations, process improvements, and system rollouts. Maintain documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Use PowerShell, automation tools, and AI-assisted workflows to improve repeatable IT tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, ticket routing, reporting, documentation, device management, and Microsoft 365 administration. Support internal adoption of AI-enabled productivity tools where appropriate. Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to improve documentation, troubleshooting, and IT service delivery while following company security and governance standards.
Qualifications
: 3–5 years of progressive IT support, systems administration, or internal IT experience. Strong hands-on experience supporting end users, endpoints, business applications, and Microsoft 365. Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, group policy, permissions, and access management.
Experience troubleshooting desktop, application, network connectivity, VPN, printer, device, and collaboration issues.
