Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our Internal Medicine team . As part of our team, you’ll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to the pet patients we all love. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday . Candidates should be available to consistently work this schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a GE 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Our collaborative team of experienced emergency clinicians and criticalists enables us to provide advanced, high-quality care to a knowledgeable and dedicated client base.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support veterinarians with advanced diagnostics including ultrasound, endoscopy, CT and other specialized procedures Perform and assist with sample collection, laboratory testing, and anesthetic monitoring Place IV catheters, administer medications, and provide advanced nursing care Manage and monitor hospitalized patients with complex medical conditions Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans under veterinarian direction Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and treatment sheets Educate and communicate with clients regarding patient care, medications, and follow-up Work collaboratively to ensure a high standard of care for internal medicine cases Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment Generous paid time off Continuing education yearly allowance for skills development Uniform allowance Certification fees reimbursement (eligible employees only) Mental Health Resources Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave

REQUIREMENTS
