What You Will Do

: The Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will have primary responsibility for the Broomfield site operation’s EHS scope and duties and secondary responsibility for Electra corporate EHS program development. In such capacity, this person will lead the environmental, health, and safety programs at our Broomfield, Colorado manufacturing facility. This individual will play a critical role in assisting with developing safety systems from the ground up, ensuring compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture in a heavy industrial environment .

Responsibilities

include: Safety Program Development & Compliance Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures tailored to a chemical and heavy industrial environment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations Ability to serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors Lead risk assessments, HAZOPs, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) for plant operations Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions Oversee safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals Develop and enforce protocols for working around large iron components, heavy machinery, and mobile equipment Implement and maintain emergency response plans, spill control, and fire protection systems Travel as needed to obtain or maintain personal training/certifications and benchmark internally and externally.
