ITnova is seeking a skilled H-1Airframe / Hydraulic Mechanic (CDI) to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. In this role, you will perform routine aircraft maintenance while serving as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) , ensuring maintenance activities meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic and structural systems, conducting quality inspections throughout the maintenance process, and providing technical guidance to maintenance personnel. The ideal candidate has extensive rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience, a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of aircraft safety, reliability, and mission readiness.
: Serves as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) from the primary discipline of Airframes MOS 6154 during the contract period. Perform s routine aircraft maintenance functions. Maintain aircraft hydraulic and structural systems.
Conduct quality technical inspection of aircraft , aircraft components, parts, repairs, and systems, including avionics, electrical, instrument, and armament systems, as required by functional assignment. Conduct quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment, tools, vehicles, and support equipment used in aircraft maintenance. Performs initial, in-progress, and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul of aircraft , aircraft components, and component parts.
Provides technical guidance, instructions, and interpretation of written instructions and procedures to mechanics as required to assure acceptable quality workmanship and flight line services. Assists in preparation, processing, and response to Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), as required . Conduct corrosion prevention and treatment.
Perform carbon fiber, sheet metal, and composite repairs. Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations, as required . P reventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
T roubleshooting, repair, modification, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft subsystems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. Perform functional checks, inspections, and troubleshooting, as required and trained. Completes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA and required forms, as required by job assignment.
Requirements
: Minimum of 5 years aviation maintenance experience. Minimum of 3 years rotary-wing aviation experience. Prior experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector on USMC UH-1 or AH-1 aircraft from MOS 6154.
S. citizen and able to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
for the position. H ave knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance. D emonstrate operational knowledge of aircraft , aircraft systems, engines, and component parts.
A ble to read and write, interpret, and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job. Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical manuals, and use measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and test equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in carbon fiber and composite repairs.
Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA after assignment.
: Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Must be able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required . A ble to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required . A ble to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required .
