US Applications Engineer (Hillsboro - Oregon) Would you like to be instrumental in enabling the next generation of semi-conductors? We are looking for a customer focused Applications Engineer based in Hillsboro, Oregon in the United States with experience in leading characterisation and demonstration activities for metrology equipment.

: Salary range: $105,000 to $150,000 base salary, depending on experience, skills, and location, plus a full US

We are expanding rapidly which means we need support engineers across the globe.

A typical day could look like this: Reporting to the Worldwide Applications Director (based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK) you will support our customers in the application of Infinitesima products, solving problems and developing methods to demonstrate the capability of our technology at its best.

Responsibilities

: Act as the primary customer contact for applications of Infinitesima products Support the customer in data collection and method development by understanding their applications and optimising the system and recipe parameters Drive applications projects to meet customer

Requirements

Present the product and associated results to customers in a professional way Trouble shoot application performance to diagnose system operation and set-up issues Support business development, through running samples, presenting data, writing reports, conference presentations and other means

: Master’s degree/PhD in physical sciences, engineering or equivalent on the job experience Essential - High level of technical expertise in probe microscopy (AFM) Knowledge of the Semiconductor industry and/or metrology Previous sales support experience desirable, ideally working with analytical instrumentation Fluent spoken and written English Us Citizen or permanent resident with right to work without sponsorship A bit about us: Infinitesima is a privately owned company founded in 2001, as a spin-out of the University of Bristol, by CTO Professor Andrew Humphris.
