About The Team

For this High School Spanish Teacher position, you’ll be working at Freire Charter High School in Center City, Philadelphia. What You’Ll Do

As a member of Freire’s instructional team, you will implement high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum to drive rigorous instruction and high achievement, while remaining open to feedback and instructional coaching. You will also foster a safe, affirming environment where students feel confident taking risks and practicing Spanish authentically.

Responsibilities

Foster a classroom environment grounded in critical thinking, academic rigor, mutual respect, and high expectations for all students. Implement high-quality, content-specific curriculum and design instructional materials that promote deep thinking and problem-solving. Maintain consistent, proactive communication with families regarding student progress and relevant school updates.

Engage fully in professional development and collaborate closely with colleagues to best support student learning and growth. ) have the opportunity to be CREW Leaders and will co-lead a class focusing on SEL and community building twice a week.

Salaries for certified teachers entering their first year start at $60,000, with an overall salary range of $50,000–$85,000 based on experience and
