The Recruiting & Retention Intern supports FINFROCK’s talent initiatives by assisting in employee engagement programs, recruiting efforts, and data-driven retention strategies. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in human resources, event coordination, and talent development within a dynamic precast manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a college student pursuing a career in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field who is passionate about building strong workplace culture and improving employee experience.
Recruiting Demonstrate a positive and proactive work ethic to support the needs of both the Recruiting and Marketing departments. Serve as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and professional candidate experience. Work with hiring managers to schedule candidates for interviews and assist them with completing all necessary paperwork.
Support hiring managers with resume review, initial screening, and applicant tracking system (ATS) management. Help review and update job descriptions and job postings. Provide support for apprenticeship program.
Support coordination of career fairs, plant tours, and campus presentations. Assist recruiters with sourcing candidates and organizing applicant pipelines. Retention Assist in implementing programs that strengthen communication and collaboration across departments.
Support execution of leadership development initiatives for emerging FINFROCK leaders. Help coordinate employee recognition efforts, including anniversary milestones and professional achievement celebrations. Assist in maintaining and enhancing reward and recognition programs.
Help track and organize retention data, trends, and program outcomes. Assist with planning and executing retention events and engagement activities. Contribute creative ideas to enhance workplace culture and employee experience.
Assist with communicating internal career pathways to employees. Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team environment. Interest in recruiting, employee engagement, or human resources.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred. Passion for building a positive workplace culture. Prior internship, part-time job, or campus involvement related to HR, leadership, event planning, or communications preferred.
